Hunting knife "Cobra"
One-edge Damascus steel blade is double-edged in
it's point and embelished with etching, nickel-plating, gilding in the form of stylized
vegetable ornament and a cobra ready to rush.
Along the blade's back there is inscription in Russian: "Zlatoust city. A.Koupatov.
2000" and a picture of trade mark.
Wooden haft is covered by black leather and interweaved with golden fine wire along the
diametrical grooves, has a head and restrictor.
The head is made in the form of a snake, two precious stones ("cat's eyes") are
inserted into it. The knife's head is fixed to the restrictor by a metal back. The haft's
framework is decorated with etching, gilding, blacking, silvering in the form of stylized
vegetable pattern and snake's scales. The haft is fixed to the blade by a head in the form
of a crown with a precious stone ("chrysolite") inserted into it.
Metal sheath is decorated with etching, gilding, silvering, blacking in the form of
snake's scales and stylized vegetable ornament.
On the sheath's back side is a waist-belt crampon.
