Исчез в среду, 25.10.2000, в Брюсселе.
И.Ф.: Ярослав СПЛАВСКИИ (обычно представляется - «Слава»)
Возраст: 29 лет
Описание: рост 1,97 м., приблизительно 95 кг, каштановые, короткие волосы, карие глаза.
Небольшой шрам на правой брови.
Одежда: Черные ботинки, бежевые модные брюки с большими карманами на обоих бедрах, черный ремень с логотипом «LEVI’S», черная длинная футболка, черная спортивная куртка (мог быть маленький, черный с зеленым рюкзак).
Автомобиль: Audi 80, темно-синий,
Бельгийский регистрационный номер «RWI037»
Последний раз был замечен в воскресенье, 29.10.2000 в Брюссельском «Midi» вокзале, сопровождаемый двумя неизвестными мужчинами.
Его семья и друзья чрезвычайно взволнованы его исчезновением.

The following person disappeared on Wednesday, 25.10.2000, in Brussels :
Name : Mr. Yaroslav SPLAVSKYY (also known as «Slava» )
Age : 29 years old
Description : 1,97 m tall, approx. 95 kgs, slim built, darkbrown short hair, brown eyes,
small scar above right eyebrow
Clothes : Black fashionable sportshoes, beige fashionable trousers with large pockets on both thighs, black leatherbelt with logo «LEVI’S», black long-sleaved sweatshirt, black sporty jacket (might also carry a small black and green rucksack).
Car : Audi 80, dark blue, Belgian licence plate n° «RWI037»
He was last seen on Sunday, 29.10.2000 at Brussels «Midi» train-station accompanied by two unknown men.
Has anybody seen or spoken to Yaroslav Splavskyy after that date ?
His family and friends are extremely worried about his disappearance.

На сегодняшний день мы получили несколько сообщений по теме пропажи Ярослава, но пока ничего ценного.
Супруга Ярослава в отчаянии, ищет его везде. Разослала объявления в десяток газет типа ИЗ РУК В РУКИ в Питере и других крупных городах России и Украины. Там их напечатали в укороченном виде на англ. языке, и бедная женщина начала получать десятки зазывных эл. писем от девушек, ищущих знакомство с парнем! Бред и издевательство какое-то! (К чести некоторых девушек, которых мы запросили - откуда они узнали эл. адрес, все честно сказали, что из газет, что были невнимательны при чтении текста объявлений и принесли свои извинения и сожаления. Мир не без нормальных людей!)
Супруга Ярослава пока не предоставила нам значимую дополнительную информацию о Ярославе - возможных мотивах, причинах, связях, интересах,... И её можно понять. Поэтому версий причин исчезновения - множество, и они носят самый невероятный характер.
С другой стороны - человек пропал вместе со своей машиной в центре Западной Европы - и бесследно! Дикость какая-то.
Призываем всех - сообщайте любую, самую невероятную инфо по этому делу!

Dear Mr. Smeshutin,
I just wish to thank you for your help in putting the information about the disappearance of Yaroslav Splavskyy on the web. You asked what his nationality is. He is Ukrainian. We have not contacted the Embassy ourselves, because the police did this. In any case, they have been informed about what happened. You said that you will send the information to all CIS sites in Belgium. It is possible that Slava might not be in Belgium anymore. He could be anywhere in Europe by now, whether by force or on his own free will. Are there any other websites that you can suggest elsewhere in Western, Central and Eastern Europe?
Once again, thank you so much for your help. All the support we are receiving means a lot to us, especially from people from his own culture. This was always something Slava spoke a lot about, the willingness of Russian and other Slavic people to help.

I get just so fed up with waiting for anything to happen. Somebody somewhere must know something, somebody must have seen Slava or spoken to him. Sorry for the long silence. Things are quite difficult as you can imagine. There is still no trace of Slava after all this time.
After discussions in the family which additional information would be helpful, we have drafted the following text that I would ask you to please add to the announcement on the RusGlobus website :
Slava loves meeting new people, has good communicational skills, although he does have phases when he keeps himself to himself. He likes reading spiritual literature and has a collection of books on these topics. He is interested in different cultures and religions as well as in history.
He is a devoted family man and has a very caring personality. He would always try to help someone in need if he can. Also, Slava likes home comfort and functionalism. He is ready to spend a lot of time on improving the interior (skillful electrician).
He likes and knows how to cook and is very accurate when cooking. He likes good food and a few beers or some wine in good
company but he can sometimes overdo it with the drinking. He has a weekness in holding strong alkohol drinks, which causes significant changes in his behavior. At the same time, regular bear, even in large quantities, is not harmful to him.
He loves travelling, especially by car, as he loves to drive. He likes discovering new places and he appreciates nature a lot. He has travelled in various countries in both Eastern and Western Europe, for example Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Poland. Other than Russian and Ukrainian he is fluent in both Polish and German and can communicate in other Slavic languages. He
also speaks good English and Dutch and understands some French and Italian.
Due to his many talents he would be able to do many different kinds of jobs, for example repair cars, work as an electrician, be a cook, be a sales person, drive a taxi or a truck, work on a building site, repair electrical appliances, be a tourist guide, work on a ship.
